Dragand

Dragand, a free tool created by developers Mathieu Le Tyrant and Patrick Heng as well as designer Robin Mastromarino, will quickly find subtitles for whatever video file you feed it. Drag and drop a movie onto Dragand, and it will quickly download that movie’s subtitles. Drag and drop the latest episode of your favorite TV show and Dragand will quickly download subtitles for that episode.

Dragand is available for Windows and Mac. You can use if you have a PC, and you can use it if you have a Mac as well. Focusing on Windows alone, I just want to say that getting Dragand up and running isn’t complicated at all. You’ll have to complete a standard installation procedure that will take little time and a minimal amount of effort.

Dragand has a dark-themed interface that features three buttons:
Home – drag and drop or browse for video files. Dragand will find subtitles for the file (or files) you add.
Settings – play with several settings that govern how Dragand works. The main setting you should care about is the default language for the subtitles Dragand will download. Pick between 41 supported languages.
Info – basic information about Dragand and the development team.

You can drop a single or multiple video files onto Dragand and the result will be the same: the application will find and download subtitles for the video(s). Once Dragand is done with that, it can do a couple more things for you: look up showtimes on IMDb; launch your default media player

Please note that Dragand is not a media player. It will find subtitles for the video you want to watch, but it will not play the video. The best it can do is launch your default media player which will then play the video. But, if your default player can find and download subtitles (like BSPlayer for example), then that makes Dragand unnecessary, doesn’t it?
